“The on-site crew was courteous, professional and good-natured. They genuinely enjoy and take pride in their work, and take the time to build it right. I appreciated some of the little details that were part of the jobsite routine –protective mats on the bathroom floor, shoe covers worn in the house. The jobsite was always left clean and the house locked and alarmed, as requested.

With my background in architecture, I expected the usual glitches during the construction process. Aside from a couple of short delays due to ledge and rainy weather, the process went very smoothly. It made a change for me to be not only the designer, but the client as well. I also learned about some new products and construction methods: insulated concrete forms, PVC trim, state-of-the-art concrete cutting, how to build with the new type of pressure treated wood, etc.
